Buccaneer Days 2022

We departed Dana Point with S/V Aiya on the morning of October 4th and arrived in Isthmus Cove, Two Harbors, Catalina in the early afternoon. We were there for Buccaneer Days. This is a weekend long pirate themed party that happens every October in Two Harbors. It is a weekend full of partying, bands, DJ’s, costume contests, and general mayhem. We had known of it for years but this is the first year we attended. And what better people to share the experience with but Adam and Jackie. Plus, Jackie was celebrating a special birthday which added to the fun.

After a long weekend of partying, we needed some time to decompress and detox. At our friend Baron’s suggestion, we headed over to Ripper’s Cove between Two Harbors and Avalon. It was just what we needed. Quiet with a nice beach and some good hiking.

After two days in Ripper’s Cove, we headed back home to San Diego with an overnight stop in Avalon, Catalina. Buccaneer Days was a blast.
